The results of PromaxBDA Asia 2020, an international award for excellence in television marketing, promotion and design, were announced on November 27. TNT4, Friday! and Match TV projects received 17 statuettes at the prestigious contest - nine gold and eight silver. Thus, Gazprom-Media Holding beat its own record from the previous year when the Holding’s team received 16 statuettes.
TNT4 channel received a record 10 awards at PromaxBDA Asia, making it a leader among Russian companies. The only channels that had a similar number of awards were HBO and Disney. The jury was especially complementary to the video clip “Sploshnoe Kino” (Continuous Film), which was called “an amazing idea with great execution”. The promo clip took a gold statuette in the nominations “Best film promo”, “All from nothing”, “Best editing”, “Best promo made by channel team”, “Best special promo clip to an event” and “Best sound design”. The promo clip “Vse Krome Titanika” (All Except the Titanic) took silver in the last three categories mentioned above. The promo clip to the Office series also took silver in the nomination “Best entertainment promo”.
Friday! channel received five awards - three gold and two silver. The channel was recognized in the nomination “Best themed campaign” for its clip “Ostavaisya doma i puteshestvui” (Stay home and travel), which was filmed during the self-isolation period in the apartments of the channel’s employees, as well as in the nomination “Best preview before official release” for the promo clip to the evening series lineup, and in the nomination “Best work that wasn’t seen” for the promo clip to Star Wars. The promo clip and promo campaign for the fifth season of the reality show Patsanky (Tomboys) received silver awards in the nominations “Best promo of a reality show” and “Best program campaign”.
Match TV also received two silver statuettes. The channel received an award in the nomination “Best identity design” for the signature style of its new channel and another award for “Best logo design”.
