The winners of PromaxBDA Asia 2018, a prestigious international competition in the field of television marketing, promotion and design, were announced in Singapore on December 4. The professional jury of the awards recognised four works of the TV channels Super, TNT4, Match TV and Friday!, all of which are part of Gazprom-Media Holding, in the categories for promos on television and in the digital environment.

“Gazprom-Media’s content has been conquering new markets this year. Our products are recognized by viewers in different parts of the world, as well as industry professionals on the global market. In a year, our promotional campaigns have collected a record 23 Promax awards on different continents,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko, CEO of Gazprom-Media, about the Holding’s recent victories at PromaxBDA Asia.

Super received the top award in the nomination "Best use of digital in a promo" in its first year of broadcasting. The TV channel released a special project in time for Valentine's Day for the users of VKontakte social network. The project launched just a month after the channel went on air in order to inform potential viewers about its existence. The channel’s team developed a special Super Love Bot, whose algorithm analyzed the pages of the social network’s users, counted likes and found out who was secretly in love with them. In the end, the project reached 5 million users and casually told them about the new TV channel Super.

TNT4 won gold in the nomination “Best sound design in a promo” for the promotional video to the film Zapreshennyy Priem (Sucker Punch). This is the second gold that TNT4 won for this project. The previous month, the channel received recognition from the international competition PromaxBDA UK Awards in the same category. The channel began broadcasting in 2016 and has already won 10 PromaxBDA awards, including PromaxBDA Global Excellence Awards, PromaxBDA/UK and PromaxBDA Asia.

Match TV won silver in the nomination “Best editing” for a video made to promote the channel’s coverage of the FIFA 2018 World Cup. The promo is a mashup of archive videos spanning the entire history of the competition. In the video, the TV channel’s creative team imagined a dream football match where global football stars from different eras face off against each other.

Match TV has won prizes at PromaxBDA Asia for three years in a row. Last year the channel received a silver in the nomination “Best promo of a special event” for the video to the 2017 Winter Military World Games, and in 2016 it was awarded the top prize in the “Best sports promo” nomination for the promo clip to the Povetkin-Wilder fight.

The silver prize in the nomination “Best promo of a dramatic film/TV series” went to Friday! TV channel for its promotional video to the mini-series Houdini. This was the tenth PromaxBDA award for the channel.
