Head of TNT channel since October 2018. Roman Petrenko is also one of the managing directors of Gazprom-Media Entertainment Television subholding, where he is responsible for program strategy, the launch of new television projects and monitoring of their effectiveness.
From 2014 to 2018, he oversaw Gazprom-Media’s international development initiative for the sale of Gazprom-Media Entertainment TV’s projects to foreign markets.
From July 2013 to December 2014 he was the head of TNT channel’s Board of Directors.
From 2002 to 2013 he served as the general manager of TNT channel.
From 1998 to 2002 he headed STS TV channel.
In 1996 he worked as a marketing manager in R.J.Reynolds tobacco company.
From 1993 to 1995 he managed a brands portfolio, then from 1997 he was the director of marketing in the Petfoods division of the transnational company MARS in Russia and the CIS.
Roman Petrenko was born on 24 October 1964 in Murmansk. He graduated from the Murmansk Marine Academy, as well as the Baltic Fishing Fleet State Academy. In 1991 he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the LETI-Lovanium International Management Centre in St. Petersburg.
As general manager of TNT channel, Roman Petrenko has won multiple “Media Manager of Russia” awards in various nominations. He also has a medal “Media Manager of the Decade.”
In 2008 Roman Petrenko received a special sign of gratitude from Russian President Vladimir Putin, “For great contributions to the development of domestic mass media and many years of fruitful activity.”
Married, has two sons.
